West Stanly Imaging
About Us
We know when patients look to us for digital imaging needs, they are entrusting us with more than just a digital image for diagnosis. They are looking for peace of mind. That’s why we offer more than board-certified, fellowship-trained radiologists, compassionate technologists and state-of-the-art technology. We also provide excellent customer service to both the patient and referring physician. West Stanly Imaging is committed to providing our patients with answers to their questions and timely, accurate results.
- Located at 103 Stanly Parkway in Locust, on the Stanly Regional West medical campus, West Stanly Imaging is owned by Stanly Regional Medical Center and Carolinas Medical Center. Our state-of-the-art equipment includes:
- CT (Computed tomography or “CAT”) scanning. A CT scan is a quick, painless diagnostic exam that combines x-rays and computers. A CT scan allows the radiologist to see the location, nature and extent of many different diseases or abnormalities inside one’s body. This scan can be used on almost any body organ, blood vessels, abdominal cavity, bones and the spinal cord.
- Digital mammography. Digital mammography provides images that can be electronically enhanced. A physician has the ability to zoom in, magnify and optimize different parts of the breast tissue using just four standard pictures. Digital mammography also allows the images to be stored and transferred electronically throughout a patient’s care network.
- X-Ray. X-ray, or radiography, refers to procedures that use standard x-rays to view parts of the body.
- Ultrasound. Ultrasound is a simple, safe, painless procedure that bounces high-frequency sound waves off parts of the body and captures the returning “echoes” as images. The patient experiences no radiation exposure during this procedure.

By offering these services, we can help patients schedule appointments quicker with shorter wait times. Our location also provides area residents the convenience of not driving to an area hospital for imaging services. Appointments can be accommodated within 24 hours and walk-ins are accepted.
